1. Silicone Leaching (Picture Framing)

In the process of using Silicone to glaze our windows that contain the Simply Clean coating, perimeter leaching may appear on the exterior surface of the glass. This condition may show itself in the form of water beading on the perimeter. This is a normal occurrence and is called Picture Framing in the industry. 1. Woodgrain showing through arborite finish

This issue does not indicate a defect with our product. It is a normal result of using Fir plywood G1S that after time will swell slightly due to humidity in the home and cause a slight amount of the wood grain to show through the arborite.

2. Proper Painting Procedures

Paint Grade Fir Plywood G1S on Bay Window seats and headers must be prepped prior to painting (filled, sanded, primed, sanded and painted) as per paint specifications and instructions. This process must be followed to ensure an acceptable paint finish.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

ACCOUNT

The term account refers only to a customer file created for each dealer for the sole purpose of keeping all transactions and sales information separate. Account does not refer to credit terms. Each dealer account is assigned an account number. Our Customers are required to refer to this number on all order forms, order enquiries and payments. Vinylbilt will not be responsible for any misrepresentation by persons under a Dealers employ; current or former.

PRICES

Terms and conditions contained in this Price Book supercede all prices and terms from previous Price Books. Prices are subject to change without notice. Taxes are extra. Prices are F.O.B. (Freight on Board) Vinylbilt Windows and Doors plant. Errors and/or omissions regarding pricing are subject to correction by Vinylbilt. All orders will be invoiced at the prices in effect at the time of the order.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Acceptable methods of payment are Cash, Cheque, Debit Card and Certified Cheque. A returned cheque is subject to a handling charge of $200.00 and will result in payment terms of cash or a certified cheque only. Should third party collection be required to settle an account, the customer will incur all costs associated with the collection. Vinylbilt will remain the owner of the merchandise until full payment is confirmed.

TERMS

Credit terms may be extended to qualifying accounts. While processing a new account, please allow 2 weeks for credit verification. Overdue accounts will be subject to interest charges of 3% per month and will be placed on hold. Production and shipment will be placed on hold and will resume once the account has been deemed current. Orders which were on credit hold cannot be rushed and will enter the order cycle once the account has been deemed current.

All accounts which exceed their credit limit will be placed on credit hold until their balance is reduced.

STORAGE FEES

All accounts with windows in the warehouse exceeding 14 days will be placed on production hold until the windows are picked up or delivered. A storage fee of $100.00 per week will apply.

FORFEITURE OF DEPOSIT

In the event a customer fails to accept delivery of the product, any deposit will be forfeited to Vinylbilt as payment. Vinylbilt has the right to claim further damages which it may have suffered in the circumstance.

PRODUCTION DELAYS

Unavoidable delays resulting from labour strikes, fires, accidents, a third-party, acts of God, or other causes beyond the scope of Vinylbilt's control will not be grounds for the cancellation of any order or contract by the customer, force majeure is in effect.

JOB-SITE DELIVERIES

Job-site deliveries are not available.

ORDERING

  • All orders received must be on Vinylbilt order formsand must be signedby the Dealer. Failure to do so will result in production delays. Vinylbilt will not be responsible for orders which are not on our order form or submitted without a signature.
  • Faxed orders received with companys name or registered fax number will be accepted as signed orders.
  • Only the Vinylbilt Window Codes found on the back of the order form must be used.
  • In the event the customer has not properly completed the order form, Vinylbilt will send a fax clarification request. The order date will become the date we receive the signed revised order.
  • Vinylbilt is not responsible for duplicate orders.

QUOTATIONS

All Regular Quotations will be completed within 24-48 hrs. Special quotations will require an additional 3 days to be completed. The dealer is responsible for all takeoffs or AutoCAD drawings. Vinylbilt does not do takeoffs or AutoCAD drawings for orders.

RENOVATION - WINDOW ORDER DEFAULTS

  • (UNLESS otherwise specified THE FOLLOWING DEFAULTS WILL APPLY)
  • Sizes are window sizes.
  • Glass is clear.
  • Exterior Colour is white.
  • Sealed Units Are 7/8 Overall Thickness.
  • Grill Type - Standard White Aluminum 5/8 square.
  • Coupled windows are split equally.
  • Awning Windows: Lever Lock is standard.
  • All Brickmoulds come standard with Nailing Fin unless otherwise specified.
  • Grills ordered on various lines will not be matched unless specified.
  • Couplers will not be provided for unassembled windows unless specified on the order form.

TEMPLATES FOR SHAPES

All Templates for glass or window shapes must be prepared on rigid board or cardboard only.

Identify Interior / Exterior view on the template, Brickmould or Frame size, any Grill alignment and/or where curve begins.

All Window Templates will remain in the custody of Vinylbilt for a period of sixty days. Glass Template will be returned with the order. It is the Dealers responsibility to retain the original glass template in the event a service is required in the future. Templates are NOT required for shapes of perfect symmetry. E.g. Half Rounds/Triangles.

Shaped casing must be ordered at the same time as the window order. Vinylbilt will not accept orders for shaped casing alone.

VERSIZED WINDOWS

Window configurations larger than 120 x 72,or a total sq. ft. greater than 60 cannot be delivered.

STRUCTURAL MULLION

Window configurations larger than 70 sq. ft. require re-inforced couplers. Vinylbilt will not honour any warranty claims if you choose not to apply the re-inforced coupler at this overall size.

CUSTOMER SUPPLIED GLASS

Vinylbilt will not be responsible for any service, breakage cost, or production delays due to customer supplied glass.

GRILLS WITH LOE GLASS

Grills with LoE Glass will appear darker in shade than the frame.

BLACK PAINT

Black Paint will not be covered under warranty for windows or doors.

PACKING SLIPS / PRE-INSTALLATION

Vinylbilt is not responsible for any discrepancies, damaged or missing components after an order has been received and a packing slip has been signed. Dealers must ensure that the windows received or picked up match exactly the original order and are accepted in good working order prior to installation.

DELIVERIES

No add ons will be accepted three (3) days prior to your delivery date.

ORDER CLARIFICATION

An order should be submitted one time only. If order clarification is required, the dealer must fax back the order clarification form with the necessary adjustments.

CHANGES TO ORDERS

Should changes be required to the original order, the Dealer must fax any changes on a separate cover sheet and not the original order, in order to avoid duplication. Vinylbilt will not be responsible for any duplicate orders. Changes can be made to an order up to 1 business day after your order cut-off date. Any changes after the 24 hour period, full charges will be applied. Rush orders cannot be changed or cancelled after they are received.

ORDER STATUS/CONFIRMATIONS

Vinylbilt will fax order confirmations and quotations to the fax number on file.

Order Status will be faxed at the end of each business day for those accounts who desire them.

ORDERING DEADLINES

The order cut-off time is Noon on Dealers cut-off date.

Any orders received after this date and time will be moved to the next delivery date.

Dealers requiring proof copies to verify their orders will be required to fax their orders in 3 days prior to their cutoff date. (SEE CHART BELOW)

SERVICE REQUESTS

Dealers must complete a Vinylbilt Service Request Form and fax the request to the Vinylbilt service department.

The service department will issue a service work order report.

BACK CHARGES

inylbilt will not honour any back charges without pre-authorized written approval.

PATIO DOOR SERVICE

Service on Patio Doors is the responsibility of the Dealer/Distributor or contact Sunview Patio Doors @ 1-800-561-1910.

RODUCT RETURNS

  • Dealers must contact the Service Department.
  • Service Department and the Dealer will complete a Product Return Form.
  • Service Department will fax the Dealer a copy of the Product Return Form.

SHOWROOM

The Vinylbilt Showroom is located at 3333 Langstaff Rd, Concord, Ontario, Canada. The Showroom is open to all authorized Vinylbilt Dealers Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Authorized Vinylbilt Dealer must be present with their homeowner. Vinylbilt will turn away any homeowner who shows up to the showroom without an Authorized Vinylbilt Dealer.

MALL DISPLAYS

Vinylbilt provides mall displays at no cost to dealers. These displays must be booked 8 weeks in advance and are available on a first come first serve basis. The value of the displays will be charged to the account and credited once the displays are returned. The displays will remain the property of Vinylbilt Windows and Doors at all times.
