Our windows are tested according to National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) standards by Keystone Certifications Inc. – a NFRC licensed Inspection Agency (IA). The NFRC is a non-profit organization that establishes nationally-recognized, objective window, door, and skylight energy performance ratings to help you compare products and make informed purchase decisions.
North American Fenestration Standards
If you are buying windows and doors in Canada, you will need to become familiar with the North American Fenestration Standard short form NAFS. In January of 2014, the National Building Code of Canada adopted the requirement of AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-08. This includes testing of each individual window configuration for air leakage, water infiltration and structural loading and forced entry to demonstrate minimum performance requirements.
